On September 1, 2026, union contracts covering about 7,000 hospitality workers at over 40 Chicago hotels will have expired if no agreement has been reached between the hotels and the hospitality workers union UNITE HERE Local 1.
Please look at the list of the impacted hotels and the dates that their contracts expire to see if your stay in Chicago could be affected.
Our goal is to avoid labor disputes at these hotels. Just in case, we encourage you to present our Model Protective Language to your hotel(s) and ask them to honor it in the event that the hotel(s) becomes subject to a labor dispute on or after September 1, 2026.
